Havana, July 4 (RHC)-- Cuba has a mission: for its people to live in a prosperous and equitable society, with a committed government that listens and acts to transform challenges into opportunities, alongside its people.

In this endeavor, the Communist Party of Cuba, as the highest political force in society and the state, pursuant to Article 5 of the Constitution—which defines it as "sole, Martian, Fidelist, Marxist, and Leninist, the organized vanguard of the Cuban nation, sustained by its democratic character and permanent connection with the people"—has the greatest responsibility.

It is with this leadership that the 10th Plenary Session of the Central Committee will be held today and tomorrow, a guarantee of the continuity of the Revolution and the unity of Cubans around the revolutionary and socialist project.

This comes at a time when the hostility of the current United States administration is once again tightening the screws on the unjust and archaic economic, commercial, and financial blockade, which, for more than six decades, has been trying to deal the final blow to the Revolution, which, defended by its people, continues to fight, resist, and triumph for its sovereignty and independence.

The agenda of the 10th Plenary Session will analyze vital economic and social issues that directly impact the population, such as the plan for the stabilization of the National Electric System and food production.

The Party meeting is preceded by the intense work carried out by the Party's top leadership in tours and visits to the territories, which strengthens the organization's work and confirms its willingness to continue addressing the main concerns of the people, as a priority.

The Government Program will also be reviewed to correct distortions and boost the economy, as well as compliance with the cadre policy strategy, approved at the Second Plenary Session, for implementation in the 2021-2026 period.

Other topics of analysis will include the increase and diversification of the country's external revenue; the resizing and development of the socialist state enterprise, and the complementary role of other economic actors; the improvement of strategic management for territorial development; the strengthening of government management; the consolidation of social policies to protect vulnerable individuals, families, households, and communities; the implementation of general directives for the prevention and reduction of crime, corruption, illegality, and social indiscipline; the effective management of science and innovation, social communication, and digital transformation to drive development and improve government management; and the rational use of energy and citizen participation.
