Havana, July 28 (RHC)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, congratulated the people and government of Venezuela on Monday for the results of the municipal elections held the day before.

On his account on the social media platform X, the president reiterated the Cuban people's support for his counterpart, Nicolás Maduro, and expressed that this success gives "continuity to the Bolivarian and Chavista Revolution and strengthens its civic-military union."

For his part, and on the same platform, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez highlighted the role of the Bolivarian people as protagonists of this peaceful day.

Polling centers opened this Sunday in Venezuela to elect 335 mayors and municipal councils in the same number of constituencies.
