Cuba and Panama Strengthen Agricultural Cooperation

Panama City, September 22 (RHC)-- Panamanian Minister for Agricultural Development Jorge Arango, and Cuba's Ambassador in Panama Antonio Pardo, signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at expanding and strengthening agricultural cooperation between the two countries.

In statements to reporters, Minister Arango pointed to similarities between Cuba and Panama in terms of climate conditions, farming and agricultural techniques and practices, which he said facilitates bilateral cooperation in the field.

Meanwhile, the Cuban diplomat said the memorandum of understanding covers several areas, among them scientific and technical assistance, urban agriculture and greenhouse vegetable production.
