Guantánamo, November 25 (RHC)-- The 4th International Seminar for Peace and the Elimination of Foreign Military Bases concluded Wednesday in the Cuban eastern province of Guantánamo with delegates condemning Washington's hegemony and its policy of interference in the internal affairs of countries in the region and around the world.

During Wednesday's closing session, the more than 200 delegates approved a Final Declaration, containing the main ideas set forth during the event. The document would be released at a political and cultural gala in the port city of Caimanera, which borders the illegal U.S. Guantánamo Naval Base.

Representatives of the International Committee for Peace, Justice and Peoples' Dignity called on delegates at the peace forum to join their voices to an international campaign on social networks, from December 4th through January 6th, to demand the closure of the U.S. naval base that Washington maintains on the illegally occupied portion of Cuban territory in Guantánamo against the will of the Cuban people.
