Cuba to host International Congress on Health Informatics

Havana will host the 13th International Congress on Health Informatics, set for March 16th through the 20th, with the participation of scientists, technicians, entrepreneurs and representatives of international organizations.

The event will serve as a space for delegates to share experiences, and best practices and exchange on the latest research advances in information technologies, telecommunications, electronics and automation in the health sector.

Health informatics is the interdisciplinary study of the design, development, adoption, and application of Information Technologies-based innovations in healthcare services delivery, management, and planning.

With the slogan ‘The digital transformation’, the upcoming Havana forum will focus on quality and advances in health technology.

Organized by the Cuban Ministry of Public Health and the country’s Society of Health Informatics, the congress’ program includes an Exhibition Fair, from March 17th through the 20th at Pabexpo exhibition ground, where Cuban and foreign companies, laboratories, entities and specialized firms will exhibit their products, projects, technological advances, resources and services.
