A close friend of Cuba, Venezuelan Diosdado Cabello, on an official visit to the Caribbean archipelago, has made clear the deep ties that bring him closer to the land of José Martí and Fidel Castro, whom he recalled, admires and pays respect to.

In his statements during his stay in the Caribbean nation, he highlighted: "We feel like brothers, more than friends; we are hurt by the same things, we are united by the same things".

The first vice-president of the PSUV, United Socialist Party of Venezuela, will leave the largest of the Antilles with multiple experiences of his meetings with top leaders of the Communist Party and the State and with the document that allows strengthening the links between the main political organizations of both countries.

By institutionalizing those links, the Communist Party of Cuba and the United Socialist Party of Venezuela are heading their work along the same lines at the national and international levels.

Something very logical given the strong friendship between Caracas and Havana, cemented by historic leaders Hugo Chávez and Fidel Castro, and the similar battle to overcome the challenges posed by the US sanctions.

The agreements initialed between the Parties will help to strengthen friendship, dialogue, communication, reciprocal learning and political trust, as the visiting leader pointed out.

Cuba and Venezuela, with a long-standing cooperation agreement that contributes to mutual aid in times of external blockades, have important ties in state matters and it is only logical to stipulate links in party and political matters.

Collaboration and assistance have arrived from Venezuela in times of distress and over the years a part of the oil consumed by the largest of the Antilles.

Cubans arrive in Venezuela to offer their experience in different sectors, mainly in health, but also in education, sports and energy. In the future, it is expected that they will help in the training of political executives, a matter on which both governments have gathered multiple experiences.

It does not matter that, as on previous occasions, the United States and the hegemonic press attack the collaboration and understanding between the leaders and peoples of Cuba and Venezuela. The friendship is historic and has been strengthened, to which Cabello's visit contributed.
