Cuba: 3D course called for final process of animated film

Havana, Jan 4 (RHC) The team of the Cuban 3D animated film “Leyenda de los dos amantes” (Legend of the Two Lovers) is organizing a course in Maya and Unreal Engine, in order to train specialists to work on the final processes of the feature film.

The film, scheduled to be release this year, proposes a journey through 13 melodies by renowned singer-songwriter Silvio Rodríguez, while the set designs are based on the work of 12 famous contemporary Cuban painters, all thanks to RTV Comercial, the Ojalá Studios and the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC).

According to the announcement, the course will begin on 5 February and end on 5 April. Classes will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 14:00 to 16:00 local time, and the topics to be taught will be modelling, rigging, materials, dynamics and basic lighting (Maya and Unreal).

These meetings will provide basic training in these programmes, as well as an experience based on practical work with renowned artists and technicians, the filmmakers of Meñique, Cuba's first 3D animated film, according to the text.

Those who are selected will have an interview at the studio, and as additional information you can download the dossier and the teaser of the work in progress on their Telegram channel: t.me/LDA_filme.
