Cuban slugger Alfredo Despaigne hits fifth home run in Japanese baseball

Tokyo, September 26 (RHC)-- Cuban baseball player Alfredo Despaigne hit his fifth home run in the current Japanese baseball season during the game of his SoftBank Hawks team against the Lotte Marines (4-7).
 
At ZOZO Marine Stadium in the city of Chiba, the Cuban slugger finished the day 4-1, increasing his discrete offensive average to .241 and 11 runs batted-in.

Yurisbel Gracial, his compatriot and teammate, improved his statistics by closing 4-2, with a double, single and a score, and now shows an average of .271, according to the specialized website beisboljapones.com.

Another Cuban, Leonys Martín, the Marinos' center fielder, showed off his skills thanks to a pair of unstoppable players in four official shifts.  

Likewise, the island's starter Dayán Viciedo (5-0) had a discreet performance in the 4-8 setback of his Chunichi Dragons squad against the multi-champion Yomiuri Giants in the Tokyo Dome.

Viciedo, owner of a push and a punch, dropped his average to .266, while his teammate Luis Gonzalez, from Dominican Republic, allowed a run and two hits in a relay inning to raise his effectiveness to 4.18.

In the game of marras, the Dominican equal Ángel Sánchez scored his fifth victory of the campaign, after allowing four stripes and eight inatrapables in five chapters and two thirds of performance.

In the rest of the games, the Orix Buffaloes beat the Nippon Ham Fighters 9-2, the Seibu Lions beat the Rakuten Eagles 5-4 and the Yakult Swallows beat the Hanshin Tigers 6-3.
