Havana, September 22 (RHC)-- Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman, left the press conference prior to the La Liga duel against Cadiz, after reading a statement and without allowing questions to the media.

"Good morning everyone, the club is with me in a situation of reconstruction, the financial scenario is linked to the sporting performances and vice versa," began reading the tactician from the Netherlands.

"That means that we as a squad have to rebuild the soccer team without being able to make big investments, that needs time. Today's young talents can be world stars in a couple of years," he said.

"The good thing about rebuilding the team is that young players will get opportunities, like Xavi and Iniesta once had, but patience is called for."

After the defeat against Bayern Munich in the Champions League and the agonizing one-goal draw in La Liga against Granada, rumors of a possible dismissal of the tactician went into overdrive. Regarding expectations in both competitions, he commented: "To be at the top of the ranking in the league would be a success, European soccer is a good school for these great talents. In the Champions League we can't expect miracles. The defeat against Bayern Munich last week has to be approached from that perspective."

Finally, the coach thanked the people who show unconditional support for the club: "We count on your support in these difficult times."

"We, as a squad and as players, are very happy with the great support from the fans, like the one we had in the home game against Granada. Visca Barca, thank you very much for coming." After reading the message, Koeman left the press room without giving way to the usual question
