Two Cuban players to try out for Udinese Calcio

Pinar del Río, September 27 (RHC)-- Two promising young Cuban soccer players left for Italy on Sunday to try out for Udinese Calcio, a Serie A club in that country.

They are midfielder York González Buchana, 19 years old, who has already been selected as a senior player while playing in different categories in the national teams; and his brother John, 18 years old, who has also played in our U-15 and U-17 national teams.

These young Camagüeyans will join the discipline of the Bianconeri of Udine, where they will try to prove their talent for future signings. The fact occurs under the protection of the policy of hiring Cuban athletes abroad, approved by the Inder.

"This is just the beginning of a rapprochement with European soccer to generate opportunities for our players in the interest of the development of the sport in Cuba," Miguel Angel Diaz Perez Perez, technical head of the discipline in the country, told JIT.

In this way, better development opportunities are expected to arrive, a long-standing desire of the family of this sport on the island.

"We have been working on the realization of this project for some time, which could have been carried out earlier if it had not been for impediments associated with the pandemic of the new coronavirus," added Díaz Pérez.

With this good news seems to begin a promising chapter of great value to increase the level and contribute to better results of the senior squad in the international arena.
