INDER President Osvaldo Vento Montiller, during his visit to the eastern province of Guantanamo.

Havana, October 13 (RHC )-- "The response offered by our comrades as part of the battle against COVID-19 has been a demonstration of love for the homeland that makes us proud and stimulates us," said INDER President Osvaldo Vento Montiller, during his visit to the eastern province of Guantanamo.

"Although we know about that work, it is satisfying to hear the authorities of the territories refer to the agency's representatives as a force ready for the most complex tasks," he added during a day of exchanges that he described as "enriching."

His stay in Guantánamo marked the beginning of a visit also designed for other working groups that this Tuesday were in Las Tunas, Villa Clara and Matanzas, as an approach to the prevailing situation from the base and the preparation for tasks such as teaching activities and the upcoming National Baseball Series.

In the eastern end of the island, Vento began the day with the inauguration of a beach volleyball court, a gymnasium for physical culture and a chair for various disciplines, where he insisted on the need to exploit it to the maximum in terms of the essential scientific, methodological and pedagogical preparation.

It was there where the first secretary of the Party in the province, Rafael Pérez Fernández, and the governor, Emilio Matos Mosqueda, recognized the contribution of the sector to the fight against the pandemic and other prioritized actions, as "the right arm of the Revolution", a merit that its protagonists declared themselves willing to sustain.

"We have to continue multiplying teamwork to generate the best decisions, as demonstrated by the sustained vitality despite the limitations imposed by the scourge of the disease," emphasized the head of INDER when highlighting the work of the Guantanameros, who complied with the indications derived from previous tours.

Meeting with directors of the province and its municipalities, in tune with what was approved for the entire tour, the dialogue on the fulfillment of the country's economic strategy, the implementation of the documents derived from the VIII Party Congress and projects related to the sports system became an action of improvement.

"COVID-19 showed the best of our values, because it allowed us to show ourselves more revolutionary, human and solidary", said one of the attendants to that stage, from where the destabilization attempts disguised as peaceful marches and other actions of the enemies of the people were condemned.

Appreciating the renovated club houses of the Nguyen Van Troi stadium, the results of the work transforming the Sports Medicine Center and placing the Communist Party of Cuba card in the hands of one of the many outstanding young people of the Combinado Deportivo Norte Los Cocos, were other moments of the visit.

A lively conversation with two-time Olympic boxer Arlén López and the greeting to other glories of the territory were added to the fulfillment of a full agenda that provided a particularly moving moment with the heartfelt tribute to 11 INDER exponents who died in Guantánamo in the midst of the battle against the COVID-19.

"Examples of dedication and commitment that will continue to stimulate our work," said Vento, who led a profitable session of the senates of the provincial centers of sports education, marked by the interest aroused by the reunion with classrooms and training, and the weight to the individual attention of students.

This Wednesday, the president of INDER will be with his working group in Santiago de Cuba, while the group led by First Vice President Raúl Fornés will work in Pinar del Río and those led by vice presidents Omar Venegas and Ariel Sainz will be in Camagüey and Cienfuegos, respectively.
