Havana, July 21 (RHC)-- Slovenian cyclist Matej Mohoric (Bahrain Victorious) won today in the sprint of stage 19 of the Tour de France, in which Danish Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) came closer to the double championship.

After 173 kilometers between Moirans-en-Montagne and Poligny, the 28-year-old finished off Denmark's Kasper Asgreen (Soudal Quick-Step), whom he deprived of repeating his partial victory yesterday in Bourg-en-Bresse.

In third place came the other breakaway of the day, Australian Ben O'Connor.

The 110th edition of the Grande Boucle did not bring, as expected, changes in the general classification, and Vingegaard floated in the peloton to caress the title achieved last year.

The Jumbo-Visma leader retained his seven-minute, 35-second lead over Slovenian Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates), the Tour de France winner in 2021 and 2022.

In the team classification, Jumbo-Visma consolidated its position at the top, with a gap of more than 27 minutes over UAE Team Emirates.
