Raidel saves 27th in Japanese Baseball League

Havana, August 30 (JIT) - Cuban Raidel Martinez scored his 27th game save in the Japanese Professional Baseball League in this 2023.

The Pinar del Río native allowed a runless hit in one inning of relief during the 3x0 win of the Chunichi Dragons over the Yakult Swallows.

Raidel left his effectiveness at 0.23 and came within two saves of the lead in that category in the Central League.

The Cuban right-handed pitcher has worked in 41 games, in which he accumulated three wins, one loss, 11 hold points and 27 saves. In 40 innings pitched, he has allowed 28 hits, including one home run, has given away only three tickets and has struck out 54 times. In addition, he has only allowed three runs and only one clean run.
