
Director of the General Administration of Sport of China arrives in Cuba
Havana, Jun 1 (RHC) - Gao Zhidan, director of the General Administration of Sport of China and president of that country's Olympic committee, arrived in Cuba on Saturday night.
At José Martí International Airport, he was received by the head of Inder, Osvaldo Vento Montiller, the vice president of the Cuban Olympic Committee, María Caridad Colón, and the Chinese ambassador to the island, Hua Xin.
The visitor thanked him for the warm welcome and expressed his interest in learning more about the island's sports development and interacting with athletes, coaches, and others involved in those results.
During his stay, Zhidan and the delegation accompanying him will visit the national boxing and volleyball schools, the Cuban Sports Research Center, and the Manuel Fajardo University of Physical Culture and Sports Sciences.
The program also includes the signing of a Memorandum of Collaboration with the president of the Cuban Olympic Committee, Roberto León Richards.
