La Paz, August 13 (RHC)- A new poll has revealed that 77% of Bolivians believe that President Evo Morales' leadership has been decisive for the country's national development over the past decade.

The poll, carried out by Equipos Mori, also found that 56% were satisfied with the general situation of the country.

At a time when much of South America is experiencing economic difficulties as a result of a slowdown in demand from key trading partners and the drop in the price of export commodities, Bolivia's economy is set to grow by 5% this year.

Much of the success seems to be attributed to Morales, who received a 62% approval rating in the poll, while his political opponents garner only 25% of support.

The poll was carried out between July 29 and August 4, 2016 and questioned adults of various socio-economic backgrounds throughout the country with the exception of the department of Pando.

Historically, Bolivia was one of South America's most restive countries, since Morales' arrival to the presidency in 2006, the country has enjoyed economic growth and political stability.
