Brasilia, August 17 (RHC)-- Former President of Brazil Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has called on the people, social and union movements to organize to avoid the dismantling of Brazil under the government of President Jair Bolsonaro.

The announcement was made by the President of the Lula Institute, Paulo Okamotto, during an interview broadcast on the Mañana de Noticias program of Radio Tiradentes, in the state of Amazonas.

'Lula is very concerned about the issue of unemployment, the collapse of public policies, precarious rights.  He is asking the people, the social and union movements to organize to avoid the dismantling of Brazil,' stated Okamotto.

He revealed that the former labor leader is clear about the judicial farce invented to condemn him.

Regarding the defense of the founder of the Workers' Party, Okamotto commented that the expectations are for the cancellation of the process and not for the progression towards a semi-open prison regime.
