Cuban universities climb in Latin American ranking

Havana, November 12 (RHC)-- The Ministry of Higher Education announced that several higher education institutions in the country improved their positions among Latin American universities in the QS Latin America ranking for 2021.

 

The Universidad de Oriente in Santiago de Cuba, announced that it had climbed four places in the World University Ranking Latin America for 2021, ranking 87th.

 

The Universidad de Oriente announced on Twitter the news, which has been shared by hundreds of students and personalities demonstrating their pride in the institution.

 

Meanwhile, in Havana, the University of Computer Science said on the same social media network that it is still in the third position among Cuban universities and improved seven places in the Latin American ranking.

 

The Universidad de Oriente is nationally and internationally recognized for its academic excellence, the quality of its processes, the social relevance of its initial and permanent training programs, and its results in science, technology, and innovation.

 

Among others, it provides undergraduate and graduate academic services, specialized courses, event registration, consulting, projects, assessments, applications, scientific-technical and professional services, technology transfer, and technical assistance.

 

The University of Computer Science, on the other hand, trains highly qualified professionals in the branch of Computer Science; it is also in charge of producing computer applications and services from the study-work link as a model of training-research-production, serving as support to the Cuban industry of Computer Science.
