Caracas, August 13 (RHC)--Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro today praised the legacy of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of his birth.

In a message posted on the social network Twitter, the Venezuelan President highlighted Fidel's role as 'father, teacher and guide' for revolutionaries fighting for a better world.

Today is the 95th anniversary of your birth, and free peoples celebrate it on the path of dignity and share solidarity. Long live Fidel,' the head of state said on the communication platform.

For its part, the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) reiterated its will to advance along the path of Latin American and Caribbean unity promoted by the Commander-in-Chief.

On the 95th anniversary of the birth of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, the Alliance ratifies its commitment to the unionist legacy, loaded with deep humanism and a sense of justice; for the integration of the peoples of our America and the world', the regional bloc communicated.

Fidel is one of the figures of this era. His name is repeated with admiration in all continents and languages. Loved by his people and respected by his enemies, he is a flag and a symbol of humanity', emphasized the Venezuela-Cuba Friendship and Solidarity Movement in the aforementioned social network.

The collective exalted the humanist quality of the revolutionary leader. This condition led him to politics since it was where he could practice his vocation of solidarity in the service of the peoples of the world.
