Cuba reports 7639 new COVID-19 cases and 82 deaths

Havana, August 27 (RHC)-- The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported on Friday 7,639 new positive cases of the SARS-CoV-2 virus,  the lowest figure reported in August, and 82 deaths.

During his usual TV briefing,  the head of Epidemiology, Francisco Durán, said the island now  accumulates 627,311 people diagnosed with the coronavirus and 4,984 deaths since March 11, 2020

To date, 47,131active patients are hospitalized.

The provinces with the highest cases were  Pinar del Rio with 914, La Habana with 911, and Holguin with 710 cases.
