Havana, November 16 (RHC) The company Reciclaje Mariel S.A. was established to support the work being carried out in the Mariel Special Development Zone.

The new company has Cuban capital entirely and will belong to the Recycling Business Group, offering solid waste collection and processing services, except those considered hazardous and radioactive, the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment (MINCEX) reported on its website.

The Cuban News Agency reported that it would commercialize the products resulting from its activity in the domestic market and for export, said Julio Antonio Sardiña Bueno, director of Quality and Communication of the GER.

He pointed out that Remasa was founded following the need to promote, under the current conditions, effective strategies of the circular economy while opening the door to the participation of foreign capital in the recycling sector.
