Josefina Vidal, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs

Havana, Oct 19 (RHC) Josefina Vidal, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed on Wednesday that the economic and human impact of the U.S. blockade against the lives of Cubans is condemnable.

Through her Twitter account, the official confirmed that from the legal, political and moral point of view it is ethically unjustifiable and unacceptable.

The U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade is an act of war in times of peace unilaterally imposed on Cuban families more than 60 years ago, Vidal said.

Former President Donald Trump (2017-2022) adopted 243 additional measures that are still in force during president Joe Biden’s administration.

To update on the negative effects of that policy, particularly between August 2021 and February 2022, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez presented in Havana a report to the diplomatic corps and the accredited press. (Source: PL)
