Havana, Dec 7 (RHC) The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel participated Wednesday in Barbados in the inauguration of the Colloquium dedicated to the 50th anniversary of relations between the Caribbean Community (Caricom) and Cuba.

 

At the meeting held at the University of the West Indies, the president said that every minute in that country has a deep significance and moves a lot of feelings, reported the Presidency on Twitter.

 

"It has been an unforgettable visit, which ends with solidarity," said the Cuban head of state in the event that was attended by the Prime Minister of that nation, Mia Amor Mottley.

Through a tweet, Díaz-Canel thanked friends and academics in the area for organizing the event dedicated to the fruitful and fraternal relations between the Caribbean States and the largest Antillean Island, which are built on the foundations of friendship, respect, and win-win cooperation.

 

With the holding of the Colloquium, the President and the high-level delegation accompanying him concluded their official visit to Barbados and will continue their trip to Grenada. (Source: ACN)
