Mongolia expresses confidence in Cuba's work at the head of the G-77

Mongolian Foreign Minister

Ulaanbaatar, January 27 (RHC) Mongolian Foreign Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh told the Cuban ambassador to that nation, Jorge Ferrer, her confidence in Cuba's work as president of the Group of 77 (G-77) for the good of the organization and the international community.

 

In a meeting with the Cuban diplomat, the Mongolian Minister of Foreign Affairs congratulated the island for this important mission and assured that under her leadership the members of the G-77 will work actively for their interests, according to the MONTSAME news agency.

 

They will engage in multilateral cooperation aimed at overcoming and solving challenges, such as recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic, poverty, economic crises, food and energy crises, and geopolitical tensions, she said.

 

Battsetseg Batmunkh also wished Cuba good luck for its commitment to protect the interests of these states in the United Nations dialogues.

 

For his part, Ambassador Jorge Ferrer conveyed greetings and a letter from his Cuban counterpart, Bruno Rodriguez.

 

He also thanked Mongolia for its interest in participating in the upcoming international event Pedagogy 2023, to be held in Havana from January 30 to February 3.

A delegation from the Central Asian country, headed by Deputy Minister of Education and Science G. Ganbayar, is expected to attend the educational event. (Source: PL)
