Havana, March 15 (RHC) Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla expressed Cuba's solidarity with the peoples and governments of Malawi, Mozambique, and Madagascar for the regrettable loss of human lives, and material damage caused by the devastating cyclone Freddy.

Through the social network Twitter, the Cuban Foreign Minister conveyed condolences to the families and relatives of the victims.

The devastating cyclone Freddy, which is following an unusual loop trajectory, has been lashing the southern coast of Africa since last Saturday night and has already left more than 190 dead in Mozambique and Malawi, where a state of catastrophe has been declared.

Freddy will continue to batter central Mozambique and southern Malawi with extreme rains before it returns to the sea on Wednesday afternoon, the UN meteorological center on Reunion Island forecast. (Source: ACN)
