Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdes exercises his right to vote

Havana, Mar 26 (RHC) Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdes on Sunday exercised his right to vote in the elections for the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament).

 

At polling station 1 in constituency 27 in this town in western Mayabeque province, Valdes noted that this is a day of support for the political system, joy, democracy, and revolutionary reaffirmation.

 

Subsequently, the leader visited polling station 2 in constituency 51 and expressed interest in the statistics about the number of voters. He also highlighted women’s role at the polling station, the Diario Mayabeque newspaper reported on its Twitter account.

 

Valdes was accompanied by the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in Mayabeque, Yuniasky Crespo Baquero, and Governor Tamara Valido Benitez. (Source: PL)
