Havana, November 5 (RHC) --The XXXIX edition of the Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2023), which begins this Monday and will run until Saturday 11, will be characterized by an intense program of activities and business exchanges, many of which will benefit the Cuban economy.

In its traditional Expocuba venue, the most important commercial event in the country and the Caribbean, will host almost twenty national days, the VI Investment Forum to promote Cuba's possibilities for attracting foreign capital and, for the first time, a meeting of young entrepreneurs.

As recently reported by Ana Teresita Gonzalez Fraga, first deputy minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, businessmen from 58 countries, more than 20 official delegations and an equal number of chamber delegations and promotion agencies are expected to participate.

Exhibitors and professionals from all sectors and actors of the Cuban economy will showcase their main goods and services, with a view to exporting, linking or opening up to foreign investment, and will be able to participate in business-to-business (B2B) meetings.

According to the FIHAV 2030 Organizing Committee, the central pavilion will house more than 140 national companies and 39 MSMEs, although another exhibition area will be set aside for the provinces to showcase their potential and projects in foreign trade and foreign investment.

As recently announced by Ernesto Soberon, director general of Consular Affairs and Attention to Cubans Living Abroad, for the first time the fair will have a pavilion for these compatriots who wish to contribute to the economic development of their country of origin.

FIHAV 2022, which was held after two years of pandemic, was a great success, and on that occasion companies from more than 60 nations, official delegations from a score of states and more than 30 chambers of commerce were represented, while numerous trade agreements were signed.
