 Cuba ratifies its commitment to human rights

 

Geneva, Dec 11 (RHC)-- Cuban Deputy Prime Minister, Ines Maria Chapman, ratified in Geneva, Switzerland, her country's willingness to continue strengthening the legal and institutional framework of human rights.

As reported by Chapman on the social network X, during her participation in the High Level Event on the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, she presented Cuba's commitments to the protection of human rights.

 

Cuban foreign ministry explained that the deputy prime minister's participation in the event ends a series of political, cultural and academic activities carried out in the country to commemorate the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 30th anniversary of the Vienna Declaration and Program of Action.

 

The meeting, which lasts until December 12th, organized by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, will include four thematic round tables and two sessions in which Member States will present their actions to promote and protect human rights. (Source: ACN)
