Ninety percent of Palestinians live below the poverty line, along with 37 million tons of debris from bombings

Havana, May 3 (RHC) The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, today ratified his country's rejection of the genocide committed by the Israeli government in Gaza, which has already claimed the lives of 34,622 Palestinians.

Rodríguez noted on X that of the total victims of the massacre, 70 percent are women and children. He also denounced that 90 percent of Palestinians live below the poverty line, along with 37 million tons of debris from bombings

This Thursday at a Solidarity Meeting with Cuba, President Miguel Díaz-Canel demanded the immediate entry of the State of Palestine as a full member of the United Nations Organization.

He stressed that nothing can justify the brutal Zionist escalation of the last six months, the serious violations of international law, and the crimes that have turned a strip of inhabited land into bloody training camps.

He indicated that the United Nations Security Council must fulfill its mandate and put an end to the impunity of Israel, the occupying power, before the questionable credibility of its resolutions ends up disappearing in the rubble of Gaza.

The Cuban head of state recalled that his country has always shown solidarity with the Palestinian cause, and currently hundreds of students from the Arab country are studying in the Caribbean nation. (Source: PL)
