Cuba and EU Countries Hold Fruitful, Constructive Dialog

Havana, April 25 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez concluded an intense European tour that took him to the Netherlands, France, Belgium and Luxembourg.

In each of the visited EU countries, the top Cuban diplomat was received by top government officials, with whom he reviewed the state of bilateral ties and discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation links in sectors of mutual interest.

Minister Rodríguez also termed as very fruitful and constructive his dialog in Paris, the first leg of his European tour, with President Francois Hollande and with the Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Irina Bokova.

The Cuban foreign minister also highlighted the positive results of his meetings in Brussels with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs Didier Reynders and with EU Foreign Affairs chief, Federica Mogherini, towards achieving an agreement on political dialog and cooperation with the European block.

While in Luxembourg, the Cuban foreign minister met with the Grand Duke of Luxembourg and with other government authorities and personalities of the European country, before concluding his tour in the Netherlands, where he held talks with Primer Minister Mark Rutte and with his counterpart Bert Koenders.
