Havana, April 16 (RHC) – In Havana on Tuesday, Venezuelan communicator Walter Martinez, creator of the successful program Dossier broadcast by the Telesur television network, received the Felix Elmuza Medal, the top award given by the Association of Cuban Journalists (UPEC) to national and foreign professionals in this field.

“I never imagined a moment like this and much less when it comes from colleagues representing a beacon in our work,” said Martinez after being presented with the medal at the headquarters of that institution, during celebrations for the 53rd anniversary of the Bay of Pigs victory.

In the presence of Rolando Alfonso, member of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party and members of the National Chairmanship of the UPEC, headed by Antonio Molto, the Venezuelan journalist expressed his appreciation for receiving that merit from “those who make the significant with simplicity.”
