Madrid, October 24 (RHC) -– Spain's Foreign Minister Jose Garcia-Margallo has announced that he is planning to visit Cuba before the end of this year.

Margallo told reporters that his trip to the island has not been yet scheduled and his agenda is still in an early stage, and declined to give details. However, he said that the State Secretary for Trade, Jaime Garcia-Legaz, will attend the Havana International Trade Fair in November, Prensa Latina news agency reported.

The previous visit by a Spanish foreign minister to Cuba was paid in 2010 by Miguel Angel Moratinos, who also visited the island in 2007 and 2009.
