Havana, March 11 (RHC)-- The multimedia RumbAllStars Project represented Cuba at the recently held 35th Latin American Film Festival in Trieste, Italy, where it exhibited and promoted Cuba’s rich culture, including Rumba music, declared intangible heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

The audiovisual material focused on the African influence on Cuban music.

Created 20 years ago, RumbAllStars Project is directed by scriptwriter, editor and cultural promoter José Luis Lobato, with a vast work promoting Cuban traditional music and dances in Europe.

The project’s production entitled ‘Rumba en La Habana’, a co-production with Yoruba Andabo ensemble, was nominated to the Latin Grammy in 2006 in the category of Best Folk Music Album.

Rumba en La Habana is considered an international classic in terms of Afro-Cuban traditions and culture.

Besides Rumba, RumbAllStars also defends and promotes other Cuban genres like son, bolero, guaracha, chachachá and mambo.
