Alexander Abreu announces release of ‘Será que se acabó’

Alexander Abreu & Havana D' Primera

Havana, March 16 (RHC)-- ‘Será que se acabó,’ the new album by singer-songwriter and trumpet player Alexander Abreu, leader of the band Havana D´Primera will be released soon, the Cuban Ministry of Culture reported on its website.

Produced jointly by Producciones Abdala and Páfata Productions, the 20-track album pays homage to popular Cuban bands and soloists from the 1980s and 90s.

Titles include ‘Una aventura loca’, ‘Boliviana’, ‘El águila’, ‘Son para un chabacano’, ‘Lo que siento es un leloley’, ‘Llévala a tu bacilón’, ‘Nube pasajera’, ‘Pura imagen’, ‘El baile del buey cansa´o’ and ‘Échale limón’, ‘Mi romántica’, ‘Tú no me calculas’, ‘Fiebre de amor’, ‘Más rollo que película’, ‘Por romper el coco’, ‘No te creas’, ‘Mi salsa’, and the title track ‘Será que se acabó’, among others, which made Cubans and Cuban music lovers around the world dance to the rhythm of salsa and timba music.

About the new album, Alexander Abreu said the aim is to pay tribute to those artists, composers and performers alike, revisit these iconic tunes, add new contemporary sounds to them and present them to the new generations of Cuban music lovers on the island as well as abroad.

Two singles from the album ‘Aventura loca’ and ‘Más rollo que película’, were already released and are now available on digital platforms, where they have been well-received by internet users with hundreds of thousands of views and likes.
