More than 50 thousand spectators filled theaters of the Festival in Cuba

Havana, December 15 (RHC)-- To date, more than 50 thousand spectators in Cuba have attended the cinemas and video theaters of the 44th International Festival of New Latin American Cinema, an event that will close next Sunday in Havana.

 

More than six thousand passports (corresponding to eight tickets) have been sold at this festival of regional and international cinematography, which runs from December 8 to 17 on the island, while the purchase of tickets has registered more than 16 thousand digital downloads on the digital platform La Papeleta, Cubacine published.

 

Also, the New Latin American Cinema Foundation, through its Latin American and Caribbean Film and Audiovisual Portal, called until Thursday for the participation of viewers to make the cyber vote by accessing the site www.cinelatinoamericano.org.

The categories of the Cibervoto 2023 Award are Fiction Feature Film, Fiction Medium-length Film and Short Film, Opera Prima, Documentary Feature Film, Documentary Medium-length Film and Short Film and Animation.  The results will be announced Friday, December 15, at the Collateral Awards Ceremony at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba.

 

Despite the rain and the cold, the public responded to the call of the big screen. The slogan of this year's event, with enthusiastic participation in darkened halls and other venues so as not to miss the competition of 199 films selected from 19 nations in the various categories.
