Vietnamese cinema will delight the public in theaters in Havana

Havana, April 18 (RHC) - A Vietnamese film exhibition has been organized by the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC), with the purpose of bringing the Cuban public closer to the seventh art of that Asian nation.

Conceived in conjunction with the Vietnamese embassy in Havana, the week will take place from April 19 to 23, at the Multicine Infanta, always at 5 p.m., reports the Cubacine digital portal.

Five recently produced feature films make up the catalog of this proposal, which address a diversity of themes from different aesthetic styles and trends in contemporary filmography.

The event will be opened by the film Em & Trinh, directed by Phan Gia Nhat Linh, in which he narrates the relationship between the musician Trinh Cong Son, "considered one of the best musicians of all time in Vietnam" and the Japanese student Michiko.

Also included in the selection is the drama Dreaming Eyes, by Víctor VU. (2019), the feature Thach Thao, by Mai The Hiep (2018); the documentary Children of the Mist, by Ha Ledien (2022) and the film The Legend of Quan Tien, by Dinh TuanVu (2019).

The exhibition of these films is part of the actions of a large delegation of Vietnamese guests in Havana in the coming days, who will also hold meetings with authorities from ICAIC, the Ministry of Culture and other institutions. (Source: Prensa Latina)
