Cuban Miguel Angel Lopez and his team Sada Cruzeiro defeated Sesi-SP in straight sets

Havana, March 3 (RHC)-- Cuban Miguel Angel Lopez and his team Sada Cruzeiro defeated Sesi-SP in straight sets and secured the leadership of the Brazilian Volleyball Superliga with the challenge of the qualifying stage remaining next Sunday.

Miguel Angel Lopez, one of the stars of the national hexacampeon, once again lived up to his status by scoring 10 units for a 56% of effectiveness in the attack and adding an ace in the pending match against the Sao Paulo rivals and that concluded with scores of 25-20, 25-19 and 25-14.

This result against Sesi-SP, tenth place in the competition, meant the twentieth victory against only one failure for the light blue team from Belo Horizonte, which now has 60 points and can no longer be surpassed by any team before the play-offs, according to the winners' website.

Sada Cruzeiro reaffirms its lead, seven points ahead of second-placed Taubaté Funvic, who have a game in hand, and it is the current runners-up who will be their opponents in their last game in this preliminary phase.

Center back Isac was the top scorer of the match with 12 points and 100% efficiency in attack, and won the VivaVôlei trophy for his performance.
