Havana, December 23 (RHC)-- Cuban Miguel Angel Lopez and the Sada Cruzeiro club will resume actions today against Vedacit Volei Guarulhos in search of maintaining their place at the forefront of the Brazilian volleyball Superliga.

At the Ginásio Poliesportivo do Riacho, in Minas Gerais, the Antillean auxiliary will try to maintain the leadership in the Cruzeiro line-up, second in the table with eight wins and two losses, only surpassed by Fiat/Gerdau/Minas, undefeated in 11 outings.

The light blue team will have its second presentation after celebrating the title in the World Club Championship and, as a fundamental piece, the Cuban Lopez will show his inclusion among the best volleyball players of the tournament in the service and points departments.

From the service line, the Caribbean international appears third in aces with 14 and ranks sixth in points per sets with an average of 4.03, while he is in the tenth position among the top scorers with 137 in 34 sets.

In the previous match, the Cuban player deserved the Viva Volei trophy for his performance in the 3-0 success against Apan Eleva thanks to his contribution of 13 points, four of them through service.

Cruzeiro's match against Vedacit Volei will close the calendar of the first round of the Brazilian Superliga and the fans will be able to celebrate the four-time world club champions.

This season, Lopez and Sada Cruzeiro have won the Copa Brasil and Campeonato Mineiro gold medals at home.
