Cuba suffers its second setback in U19 volleyball world championship

Havana, August 26 (RHC).. At the U19 volleyball World Championship in Iran, Cuba suffered its second defeat on Thursday after losing to Argentina in 4 sets (25-18, 25-17, 23-25 and 25-13).   The South Americans were far superior in all aspects of play, including attacking, where they scored 34 points to Cuba's 25.

The Cubans again committed too many unforced errors (22) and were very discreet in defense and service.

In their debut in the world championship, Cuba lost 0-3 to Germany.

On Thursday, Italy defeated Belarus, Russia defeated Cameroon, Nigeria defeated Guatemala, and Bulgaria defeated Belgium, in all cases 3-0.
