Havana, May 28 (JIT) - Cuban Billy Rodriguez will make his professional boxing debut on June 5 against local Sergio Daniel Gonzalez, in a program scheduled for Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.

The fight will take place at the Los Indios club, in the town of Moreno, and will place the continental light flyweight champion against an opponent who has three wins and one loss in such scenarios.

The organizers announced that the action between Rodriguez and Gonzalez will begin at 9:00 p.m. (local time), with live broadcast by ESPN, after other complementary fights.

It will be the seventh exponent of the Cuban Boxing Federation involved in professional circuits after the sweep (6-0) enjoyed by his teammates last May 20 in the Mexican city of Aguascalientes.

At that time, Osvel Caballero, Roniel Iglesias, Yoenlis Hernandez, Arlen Lopez and Julio Cesar La Cruz all won by knockout, and Lazaro Alvarez won a unanimous 3-0 judges' decision.
