Future Games

Havana, July 18 (RHC) - The third edition of the Future Games will be held in Kazakhstan from July 18 to August 1, 2026.

According to Phygital International, the organization in charge of organizing the event, the city of Astana will welcome some 1,500 competitors who will experience the thrill of merging physical sport with the digital universe.

The event is scheduled to take place at multiple venues in the Kazakh capital, with 13 disciplines in competition. These include phygital soccer, basketball, dance, shooting, hybrid hockey, and combat sports such as MMA and boxing.

The second edition of the futuristic competition will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates from December 18 to 23 of this year.

The Future Games were created as a unique, large-scale sporting event that innovatively combines traditional sports with electronic sports. It is a phygital tournament that premiered in Kazan, Russia, in 2024.

Cuba participated in the debut of the competition with a small delegation that showcased its skills in basketball, soccer, sports programming, Beat Saber, and Just Dance.
