Asuncion, March 10 (RHC)-- The Paraguayan Ministry of Health has warned that the health system could suffer a collapse due to the increase of cases and suspects with COVID-19, declaring the "red alarm" throughout the national territory.

The highest health authority expressed concern about the crowds and non-compliance with biosafety standards, saying "this could lead to a collapse of the health system, exposing many patients with COVID-19 to die without being treated."

"We urge strict compliance with the sanitary measures in force: Correct use of masks, maintaining physical distance at all times, proper and frequent hand washing and keeping the rooms ventilated," states the Ministry's communiqué.

The Paraguayan Ministry of Health invites the population to take care of people who may present a degree of vulnerability, "to people who live with vulnerable citizens, please maintain the sanitary measures."
