La Paz, July 29 (RHC)-- The Executive Secretary of the Central Obrera Bolivia (COB), Juan Carlos Huarachi, ratified the "emergency" position of his union in the face of the destabilization attempts of the right wing, refused to recognize the opinion of the Attorney General's Office (FGE) that clarifies there was no electoral fraud in the 2019 elections.

Huarachi stressed that they will be alert to any attempt of mobilization or seizure of institutions by the opposition, and in that sense they are organizing nationally for workers to stoically defend the recovery of democracy in Bolivia.

The trade union leader called for the unity of the working class, in view of the growing demonstrations of the Comunidad Ciudadana (CC) and Creemos parties, which maintain their position of pointing out electoral fraud in 2019, despite the conclusions of the FGE indicating that "there was no manipulation."

The former presidential candidate, Carlos Mesa, questioned the investigation of the University of Salamanca on the transparency of the elections without presenting any evidence.

In view of these provocative attempts, the general secretary of the FGE, Edwin Quispe, indicated in a press conference held this Wednesday that the expert investigation was in charge of engineer Juan Manuel Corchado and his team, after a public call issued.

"Corchado has postdoctoral studies in computer science, is a doctor in artificial intelligence, and dean of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Salamanca, among other studies," he said while pointing out the payment to the expert team for their services, about 30,000 dollars through the Central Bank of Bolivia.

For his part, the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Freddy Mamani Laura, expressed his gratitude for the expert work, which "only demonstrates the truth that we wanted to know.  There is no doubt that the OAS was part of the coup d'état."
