Venezuelan president affirms the need for alternatives to U.S. exclusions

Caracas, June 7 (RHC)-- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said it is necessary to create a new organization in which all the countries of the Americas participate, to counteract the exclusionary actions of the United States.

Maduro also highlighted his admiration for the clarity and courage of the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, in reference to his firm decision not to participate in the Summit of the Americas, being held in the U.S. city of Los Angeles.

The Venezuelan president asked the President of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, Alberto Fernández, to convene a summit with an agenda of prioritized topics of maximum interest for the peoples of the region and to invite U.S. President Joe Biden.

He also clarified that Washington's discriminatory act towards the governments of Nicaragua, Cuba and Venezuela will not silence the voices of the rebellious peoples, which will be heard in forums, marches and meetings.
