Gaza City, October 17 (RHC)-- The Palestinian Health Ministry said in recent hours that at least 500 people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a hospital in the enclave.

The onslaught came shortly after a bombing of a UN school in the Palestinian territory, in which at least six refugees were killed.

Hours earlier, local health authorities reported that the death toll in the blockaded Gaza Strip had risen to around 3,000 since the new escalation of the conflict between Israel and Hamas began ten days ago.

This Tuesday, October 17, has been marked by UN and Palestinian allegations of lethal Israeli shelling in areas crowded with civilians.
