Chairman of Brazil's House of Deputies, Eduardo Cunha

Brasilia, Mar 9 (RHC) Allies of the Chairman of Brazil's House of Deputies, Eduardo Cunha, committed fraud to prevent the Ethics Commission from investigating Cunha, the local press has reported.

Cunha's allies forged the signature of a legislator that would be absent from a Commission session to prevent his trial.

The fraud was detected in an alleged resignation note by MP Vinicius Gurgel, whom would be replaced by Mauricio Quintela, both supporters of Cunha, and prevent a legislator from the Workers' Party from occupying the vacancy.
