Caracas, Mar 14 (RHC) Organizations in defense of the rights of the citizens in Venezuela and throughout Latin America will denounce at the UN Human Rights Council, an amnesty bill that the right wing is promoting in Venezuela's National Assembly.

Asdrúbal González, director of the National Network for Human Rights in Venezuela, said they will submit a legal report on the bill, which would exonerate 49 crimes that are serious human right violations.

The report will provide evidence on the attempts by MPs from the opposition to sponsor a bill that could bring a significant downturn in the protection of human rights in Venezuela.

González said on several occasions the UN has established that, beyond generating amnesty laws, there is the need to set up commissions for truth and justice to investigate crimes and serious violation of human rights.
