Havana, February 28 (RHC) -- The Cuban anti-terrorist fighter Fernando González Llort arrived Friday noon in Cuba after completing a long and unjust prison sentence in the United States.

The Cuban Hero was welcomed in Havana by his family, Cuban President Raul Castro and other Cuban officials.

Fernando González was released on Thursday from a federal prison in Stafford, Arizona state, and was put under custody of immigration authorities to begin the process of deportation to Cuba.

This is the second member of the internationally known Cuban Five that completes his sentence after René González, who has also returned to Havana.

Fernando, René, Gerardo Hernández, Antonio Guerrero and Ramon Labañino were arrested in 1998 in the U.S. city of Miami, where they monitored the activities of U.S.-based terrorist groups planning violent actions against Cuba.
