Caracas, March 1 (RHC) -- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Friday congratulated the Cuban people for the return of Fernando González Llort, one the Cuban Five anti-terrorist fighters.

In a message posted on Twitter, the Venezuelan President wrote: “Congratulations to the people of Cuba today as they welcome Fernando Gonzalez, hero of Our America. Let's continue to fight for the freedom of them all.”

He also referred to Gerardo Hernandez, Antonio Guerrero and Ramon Labañino, who remain in U.S. prisons serving long and unfair sentences of up to life imprisonment for defending their homeland against U.S.-sponsored terrorism.
