Havana, December 20 (RHC)-- The Spanish company Newrest Catering Mariel, S.A., specializing in food and beverage production and preparation for their supply to companies, restaurants and other facilities, was established as a new user in the Mariel Special Development Zone (ZEDM), bringing to 43 the number of entities operating in Cuba's main economic enclave.
A subsidiary of Newrest Group Holding, S.A., regarded as one of the world leaders in multi-sector catering, Newrest Catering Mariel, S.A., will also offer laundry and cleaning services, according to a press release made public in Havana.
The entity, with one hundred percent Spanish capital, will be located in the agri-food processing zone in Sector A at Mariel. It will have a modern technology plant. Using local raw materials, it plans to provide catering services to some 1,600 consumers, a figure that will progressively increase to 6,600.
Five years after its creation, the Mariel Special Development Zone exhibits positive results both in infrastructure development and businesses.
