Raul Castro receives Commander-in-Chief of Russian Navy

Havana, February 22 (RHC)--The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Raul Castro Ruz, received the Commander in Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov, who is on a working visit to the Island.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the excellent state of relations, including those in the technical-military sphere,  prospects for bilateral cooperation, as well as issues on the international agenda.

The Russian Ambassador to Cuba, Andrei Guskov, the Russian Air and Naval Military Attaché, Captain Valery Nikolaevich and other members of the Russian delegation were present on the Russian side.

Accompanying the Cuban Communist Party leader were the Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, and the First Deputy Minister and Chief of the General Staff of the FAR, Army Corps Generals Leopoldo Cintra Frías and Álvaro López Miera, respectively.
